Police in Rock Springs, Wyoming, are warning truckers to check their financial statements for fraudulent activity after finding a credit card skimmer at a truck stop.
On May 27, the Rock Springs Police Department (RSPD) issued an alert after finding a card skimmer device at the diesel pumps at a Maverick truck stop located at 1225 Foothill Blvd in Rock Springs, at Exit 101 off I-80.
Police said the device has been removed.
It isn’t clear how long the card skimmer has been in place on the fuel pump or how many cards may be compromised.

RSPD asked anyone who used a debit or credit card at a fuel pump in Rock Springs to monitor their bank or credit card statements for fraudulent activity. If you notice suspicious transactions, you should call your bank and report the incident to law enforcement.
