A commercial motor vehicle was placed out of service in Ontario last week after officers noticed a slew of violations while trying to get the truck unstuck from a front yard.
The incident happened at about 12:25 p.m. on Thursday, April 16th at North Monaghan Parkway and Whittington Drive in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada.
According to Peterborough Police Service Facebook post, police were called to the scene after a homeowner reported a tractor trailer had driven into their front yard and gotten stuck. Once the truck was removed, officers conducted an inspection of the rig and found multiple violations, including issues with the braking system.
The 45-year-old truck driver was charged with careless driving, disobeying signs, improper braking system, push rod stroke exceeds prescribed limit, driving a CMV with a major defect, failure to report defects in a daily inspection report, and operating an unsafe vehicle.
Officers seized the license plates from the vehicle, placing it out of service.
