A truck driver hauling tandem trailers died on Saturday morning after crashing into a herd of cattle on the roadway.
The accident happened just after 4:30 a.m. on Saturday morning, February 28th on US Highway 82 east of Nocona, Texas.
According to The Times Record News, 59-year-old Danny Lovelady was heading west on US 82 pulling tandem trailers when he encountered the herd of cattle. Lovelady swerved to avoid the cattle but struck three cows anyway. The semi truck then skidded sideways, overturned, and slid into a roadside ditch before colliding with a barbed wire fence.
Lovelady was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash is still under investigation by the Texas Highway Patrol. No other information has been released.
