A truck driver pleaded ‘not guilty’ to all charges related to the fatal I-71 crash that killed a family of three in Ohio earlier this month.
50-year-old truck driver Modou Ngom appeared in Delaware County, Ohio court on Tuesday, April 21st for the fatal April 11th crash.
According to NBC4i, Ngom pleaded ‘not guilty’ to three counts of aggravated vehicular homicide and four counts of vehicular assault. His $500,000 bond is still in place and he is still in jail. His original trial date of June 23rd remains unchanged.
Ngom has a Ohio CDL and has been issued several traffic citations since 2007. He was also involved in an equipment failure crash in 2024 that went unreported on his federal record.
The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio has visited his apartment in an attempt to conduct a compliance investigation as requested by the FMCSA, but were unable to complete the investigation.
