Fifty-six citations issued for skipping weigh station during commercial vehicle enforcement detail in Texas

Multiple law enforcement agencies partnered for a commercial vehicle inspection and enforcement detail at a weigh station in the El Paso, Texas, area.

On February 18, 2026, the Texas Department of Public Safety – West Texas Region and the El Paso Police Department announced results from a joint Commercial Vehicle Enforcement operation at the Loop 375 weigh station.

See below for results from the El Paso weigh station detail:

  • 23 CMV Inspections
  • 47 Total Violations
  • 11 Out-of-Service Violations
  • 7 Brake Violations
  • 2 Weight Violations
  • 56 Disregard Weigh Station Citations

Police said that no citations were issued for:

  • Fraudulent Mexico CDL
  • Human Trafficking
  • Non-English Speaking Driver

“We appreciate the continued collaboration between our agencies as we work together to keep El Paso’s roads safe,” the law enforcement agencies said.
