Four semi trucks were involved in a fatal crash on Interstate 65 in Tennessee on Tuesday afternoon.
The crash happened at 2:24 p.m. near mile marker 50 on I-65 in Maury County, Tennessee. The identity of the driver killed was released on Wednesday, August 19th.
According to News Channel 5, 59-year-old truck driver James Ebbinger was on I-65 northbound when he crossed the median and drove into three other tractor trailers heading south. All four trucks caught fire as a result of the crash.
Ebbinger, who hails from Texas, died in the accident. 48-year-old Darwin Barthelemy from Minnesota and 36-year-old Nichoy Tracy from Florida were hurt in the crash. A 63-year-old driver from Alabama was not hurt.
Information on the severity of the drivers’ injuries, or the exact cause of the crash has not been released. No charges have been filed.
