Fire spreads after semi truck pulls down electrical wires

A fire spread on a street in Virginia on Tuesday after a semi truck pulled down some electrical wires. 

The incident happened behind the Foxchase Shopping Center in Alexandria, Virginia. 

According to Fox5, the semi truck was making a delivery to a grocery store when it struck the power lines and pulled them away from the building. The damaged lines then began sparking and ignited nearby structures including a dumpster, wooden fence, and a vehicle. 

Firefighters were unable to completely quench the fire until the power company de-energized the lines approximately an hour after the blaze started. 

No one was hurt and no buildings were damaged in the incident. No further information has been released.
