Garage obliterated after collision with car sends semi truck veering into residential home

A semi truck crashed into two garages at a home in Pennsylvania on Wednesday after colliding with a car at an intersection.

The accident happened on the morning of August 5th at the intersection of Route 72 and Thompson Avenue in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania.

According to WGAL, the SUV failed to stop at a stop sign and slammed right into the side of the moving tractor trailer. Surveillance video from a nearby home shows the accident.

Several parked vehicles were also struck and damaged in the incident. Route 72 was closed in both directions between Mountville and Jonestown roads for investigation of the incident. Pennsylvania State Police confirmed that the motorist did run the stop sign.

The owner of the home says she is very grateful that her husband was not inside of the garage at the time of the crash. No further information on the crash has been released. No injuries were reported.
