Hotshot driver nabbed for 99 MPH speed violation on Indiana Toll Road, troopers say

An Indiana State Police (ISP) recently stopped a commercial driver in a pickup for a serious speed violation.

On May 4, 2026, ISP Trooper McCormick stopped a pickup truck towing a trailer for driving 99 m.p.h. on the Indiana Toll Road.

The pickup driver was cited, according to state police.

“This truck was operating as a commercial motor vehicle and also underwent a Level 1 commercial motor vehicle inspection,” said ISP Sgt. Ted Bohner- Bremen Post.

“This was a tragedy waiting to happen if Trp. McCormick wouldn’t have stopped it and cited the driver,” Bohner said. “Keeping our roads safe is a responsibility we all share. Slow down, drive safe, and buckle up.”
