Indiana State Police (ISP) troopers went on the hunt for unsafe commercial vehicle operators during a recent “wolfpack” patrol on I-65.
The patrol took place on April 24 along I-65 in Jackson and Bartholomew Counties, with troopers from the ISP-Versailles Post taking the lead.
During a “short period of time,” ISP conducted 11 commercial vehicle inspections and discovered 18 federal motor carrier safety violations.
Additionally, 13 citations and 39 warnings were issued as part of the patrol.
Two commercial vehicle drivers were placed out-of-service for violations discovered during the patrol.
“One CDL driver was found to be driving with a suspended status,” said ISP Sgt. Stephen Wheeles.
“The Indiana State Police will continue to conduct targeted enforcement patrols, or “wolfpacks” in an effort to make our roadways safer by preventing the unsafe operation of motor vehicles,” the agency said.
