Joplin 44 invites truckers to free Grand Reopening celebration

Truckers are invited to stop by Joplin 44, Missouri’s Largest Truckstop, for a Grand Reopening event this weekend.

The public is invited to the free celebration on June 13, 2026 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Joplin 44 Petro in Joplin, Missouri.

Attendees will enjoy tours of the new facility as well a car show, bounce houses, and more.

Upgrades to the truck stop added nearly 32,000 square feet of space to Joplin 44 as well as 20 Tesla Super Chargers to the parking lot.

Joplin 44 also added a Starbucks and a McDonalds to the existing Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, and Dairy Queen quick service restaurants. A full-service Black Bear Diner location opened at the site in May 2026.

“This grand reopening marks an exciting new chapter for Joplin 44,” said Jason Spindler, general manager of the facility, “We’re proud to welcome guests back to experience the improvements we’ve made.”
