Kenworth launches commemorative paint scheme for America’s 250th birthday

Trucker maker Kenworth announced a special‑edition red, white, and blue paint scheme in honor of the nation’s 250th birthday.

On April 9, 2026 Kenworth debuted the limited-edition TourAmerica paint scheme as part of the Freedom 250 initiative.

Kenworth says the design “pays tribute to the iconic mid‑1990s TourAmerica T600 paint scheme.”

The TourAmerica paint scheme will be available for order on the T680, W900L, W990, and T880 models equipped with sleepers.

“This paint scheme is a nod to an important era in Kenworth’s legacy,” said Kevin Haygood, Kenworth’s assistant general manager for sales and marketing. “The original TourAmerica T600 represented innovation and pride for drivers across the country. Bringing that design forward for today’s models allows us to honor that history as we celebrate our nation’s 250th birthday.”

Kenworth also donated a T680 with a 76-inch integral sleeper in support of the Freedom 250 Tour. The Freedom 250 Tour is an event involving a fleet of Mobile Museums, known as “Freedom Trucks,” touring the U.S. to provide interactive and inspiring educational content to students, families, and communities in 2026.
