Man pinned by granite slabs rescued from inside tractor trailer

A man was rescued from inside a tractor trailer after being pinned by granite slabs in Connecticut on Monday morning. 

The accident happened at around 8:30 a.m. in Waterford, Connecticut on March 16th. 

According to WFSB3, firefighters were called on reports of a person pinned inside of a tractor trailer by granite slabs. Emergency responders arrived to find one victim inside the trailer being crushed by several large pieces of granite.  

Firefighters utilized hydraulic tools to free the victim after several minutes and quickly performed life-saving measures. The victim was then transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. 

The incident is still under investigation. No further details have been released.
