Drivers are asked to steer clear of a major pileup crash reported on Monday morning near Hudsonville, Michigan.
The crash occurred at 10:19 a.m. on January 19, 2026, on westbound I-196 at 32nd Ave in Hudsonville, Michigan.
According to Michigan State Police (MSP), troopers and the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department are actively investigating a reported 100-vehicle pileup.
The crash involves an estimated 30 to 40 semi trucks, state police said.
“Numerous” injuries have been reported but none are thought to be life-threatening at this time.
I-196 is closed in both directions between Exit 62 and Exit 55 and will remain closed until further notice.

Icy roadway conditions were reported in the area when the pileup occurred.
