Michigan shuts down truck driver training school for ‘multiple violations’

A truck driver training provider in Marquette was shut down by Michigan Department of State (MDOS) for alleged violations.

On  August 5, MDOS suspended operations at the Northern Michigan University Truck Driving School, located at 1401 Presque Isle Ave. in Marquette, “for multiple violations of the Driver Education Provider and Instructor Act (DEPIA).”

MDOS said an initial investigation into the school showed violations including:

Pending an ongoing investigation, no instruction may be provided by the Northern Michigan University Truck Driving School while the suspension is in place.
