A months-long negotiation between two trucking companies is expected to close this month without any job layoffs.
Daily Hampshire Gazette reports that Page Trucking in Weedsport, New York is expected to close on the acquisition of Goulet Trucking in the next month. The negotiation has reportedly been ongoing for nearly a year, but the deal was announced on the Page Trucking website back in November 2025.
President of Page Trucking Dan Titus says that some news outlets have falsely reported 144 jobs would be eliminated, but that this is not accurate.
“No one is losing their jobs. If anything, we’re actually adding positions,” Titus said. Page plans to hire all former Goulet Trucking employees, including drivers, mechanics, and maintenance staff, pending background checks and drug testing.
“We’re pleased to announce this transaction with Page Trucking, a company that shares our vision for innovation and growth,” said Paul Jordan, co-owner of Goulet Trucking. “This partnership gives us immediate access to additional equipment and driver capacity, expands our reach across North America, and elevates our expertise in the design and utilization of cutting-edge bulk transportation equipment. Together, we are set up for great success going forward — scaling our impact and driving industry evolution.”
“The best way to characterize this is the merging of two family companies,” Keith Titus, sales manager for Page Trucking, said to…. On Wednesday.
The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed, and exact date for completion of the deal has not been specified.
