Multi-agency CMV inspection blitz in Virginia uncovers 192 violations in one day

Multiple Virginia law enforcement agencies partnered for a commercial vehicle inspection detail that uncovered nearly 200 violations.

The operation took place on April 23, 2026, in Loudoun County, Virginia.

See below for key results from the one-day CMV detail shared by the Loudon County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO).

  • 31 vehicle inspections
  • 27 summonses issued
  • 192 total violations
  • 1 driver placed out-of-service
  • 19 vehicles placed out-of-service
  • 3 overweight violations ($13,650 in fines)

Participating agencies included the LCSO, the Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office, the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police, the Fairfax County Police Department, and the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles Police, including the Mobile Scales Unit.
