Nebraska troopers find 155 violations in 41 commercial vehicle inspections

The Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) released results from a recent commercial vehicle inspection campaign held in Madison County.

On July 9, 2026, NSP’s Carrier Enforcement Division conducted dozens of commercial vehicle inspections in Madison County.

The Madison County inspections focused on “commercial vehicles that may not pass through weigh stations as part of their regular routes,” NSP said.

See below for key results:

The inspections were carried by the Metropolitan Aggressive and Prevention Selective (MAPS) Team, a specialized unit within NSP’s Carrier Enforcement Division.

The MAPS Team was founded in 1988 and is largely funded by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. The MAPS Team focuses on compliance with federal safety regulations and enforcement of laws pertaining to weight, size, registration, dyed fuels, and permits associated with commercial vehicles.
