New Hampshire cops find 106 commercial vehicle violations during enforcement operation

Law enforcement agencies in New Hampshire partnered for an enforcement effort held in response to complaints from residents about unsafe commercial vehicles.

The enforcement effort took place on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, in Plaistow, New Hampshire “in response to concerns expressed by Plaistow residents related to the unsafe operation of commercial vehicles in their town.”

The joint enforcement initiative involved members of the New Hampshire State Police and the Plaistow Police Department.

Police focused on enhanced enforcement of excessive speed, violations of weight restrictions, driving on restricted roads, as well as other unsafe behaviors by commercial drivers.

See below for results from the Plainstow joint enforcement effort.

  • 87 vehicles were stopped, including 44 commercial vehicles
  • During inspections of the commercial vehicles, 106 violations were discovered
  • 18 out-of-service orders were issued for critical safety violations or improper driver credentialing
    • 10 drivers were placed out-of-service
    • 8 vehicles were placed out-of-service and removed from the road
  • An additional 39 warnings and 14 summonses were issued for issues ranging from stop sign violations to drivers operating in violation of federal out-of-service orders
