NYS Thruway bridge strike knocks semi truck to the ground in viral dash cam video
A semi truck overturned in a bridge strike crash caught on video on the New York State Thruway on Monday.
The accident happened on Monday, August 10th near Nyack, New York at around 12:20 p.m.
In the dash cam clip, the semi truck hits the South Broadway Bridge overpass and then overturns, skidding on its side.
According to CBS News, the rig struck a Toyota parked on the right shoulder of the Thruway, sending the motorist to the hospital. The motorist is expected to survive. The truck driver was not hurt in the incident.
Two lanes of southbound I-87 were closed during the cleanup of the incident. Footage of the crash can be seen below.
