Troopers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) recently seized a large amount from cocaine from a semi trailer along I-70.
The drug seizure took place on January 23, 2026, near London, Ohio.
Shortly before 2 p.m., OSHP troopers stopped a truck for a commercial vehicle inspection on I-70.
After troopers noticed “criminal indicators,” a drug-sniffing police dog was brought in. After the dog alerted to the vehicle, a probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted.
Troopers located 154 pounds of cocaine worth approximately $6.3 million concealed within cabinets loaded into the trailer.
“In 2025, the Ohio State Highway Patrol seized 1,607 pounds of cocaine on Ohio’s roadways. Anyone with information related to drug trafficking on Ohio’s roadways or interstates is encouraged to contact the Ohio State Highway Patrol by dialing #677,” OSHP said.
