The Saline County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) helped seize millions of dollars worth of drugs from a commercial vehicle following a traffic stop on I-30.
The drug seizure took place on February 22, 2026, when an SCSO deputy initiated a traffic stop on a commercial vehicle traveling on I-30 at mile marker 106 in Saline County, Arkansas.
As a result of the traffic stop, “deputies seized over 2,800 pounds of narcotics with an estimated street value of $4.5 million.”
SCSO arrested the commercial vehicle driver without incident. He was identified as Firdavs Nazarov, 38, of the Republic of Tajikistan, and said to be present in the U.S. on an expired tourist visa.
“He was in possession of a New York driver’s license, and the commercial vehicle he was operating displayed Alaska license plates. During the investigation, the owner of the company, Aleksey Shcherbina, stated that Nazarov was transporting the contents of the truck from Oregon to North Carolina,” SCSO said.
The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) assisted in the investigation.
“This seizure represents a substantial disruption to the distribution of illegal narcotics and highlights the Saline County Sheriff’s Office’s continued commitment to public safety and proactive law enforcement efforts,” SCSO said.
SCSO provided details on the drug seizure on April 1, 2026.
