The St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office (SLCSO) is asking for public help in investigating a “suspicious incident” involving a semi truck that occurred near a Pilot truck stop this week.
At 11:30 p.m. on January 15, 2026, a 911 caller reported a suspicious person on South Rock Road, behind the Pilot truck stop in Fort Pierce, Florida.
SLCSO responded and found a male “near a semi-truck that appeared to have left the roadway and entered a ditch while attempting to abruptly turn around.”
“During their initial investigation, deputies observed blood inside the cab of the semi-truck near the passenger door, as well as blood on the exterior passenger-side area of the vehicle. The male was confirmed to be the owner and operator of the semi-truck,” police said.
SLCSO said that the owner of the truck was identified as Olson Jean, 41, of Pompano Beach, Florida.
Jean was arrested for obstruction of justice and is currently detained in the St. Lucie County Jail.
Police are searching the area as part of the ongoing investigation.
SLCSO is asking anyone who has had recent contact with Jean, or who has information regarding the pictured semi-truck, to contact the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division at 772-462-7300.
