Pennsylvania troopers conducted multi-day hazardous grade truck enforcement detail

The Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) recently conducted a multiple day operation targeting trucks that bypass hazardous grade truck pull-off areas.

On May 20, 2026, PSP provided details on a Troop G targeted enforcement detail focused on hazardous grade truck pull-off / stop compliance in Centre County, Pennsylvania.

As part of the detail, troopers patrolled at both hazardous grade truck pull-offs located along State Route 350, as well as the hazardous grade truck pull-off located on State Route 322 in Centre County.

Troopers said that the purpose of the operation was to increase safety by ensuring that commercial truck drivers were not bypassing designated hazardous grade truck pull-off areas.

“The Pennsylvania State Police remind all commercial vehicle operators that hazardous grade truck pull-offs are established to enhance roadway safety and reduce the risk of crashes involving heavy vehicles traveling steep grades,” troopers said.

Troopers say they will continue conducting enforcement details to promote highway safety and ensure compliance with traffic laws and commercial vehicle regulations.
