Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) – West Region shared a truck driver’s dash cam video as a reminder of how quickly winter driving can take a hazardous turn.
OPP shared the video on January 24, 2026 along with a cautionary statement for drivers who drive too fast during winter weather conditions:
“This video is not meant to shock you. It’s about bringing awareness to winter road conditions and how things can change in an instant. Luckily, this driver walked away with only minor injuries. OPP is reminding all drivers that winter driving requires winter behavior, your speed is one factor you can always control! Please drive safely.“
In the video, a car traveling in the left lane of a snowy Ontario roadway loses control and rapidly veers right. The car travels into the dash camera’s lane of travel, and the truck driver is unable to avoid the t-bone crash.
