A Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania-based freight broker filed a lawsuit accusing a metal mill of failing to pay for hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of delivered loads.
On April 9, 2026, R&R Express, Inc. filed a lawsuit against Pittsburgh-based McElroy Metal Mill Inc. in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
According to the suit, in September 2013, R&R entered into an agreement to provide transportation services for McElroy.
Over the years of their partnership, R&R hauled 37,268 loads for McElroy, but payments for the loads allegedly stopped coming in December of 2025.
According to the suit, R&R invoiced McElroy $76,662,115.06 but only received $76,014,952.65 from the company.
R&R alleges that McElroy “failed and refused to pay” the outstanding invoices “despite R&R’s repeated requests and demands for payment.”
The lawsuit alleges that McElroy owes R&R $726,031.25 for “Unpaid Loads,” exclusive of interest.
R&R accuses McElroy of Breach of Contract in failing to pay the full invoiced amount for transportation services provided.
R&R seeks not less than $726,031.25 plus interest as well as “other relief as the Court deems just and proper.”
