‘Tempers flare’ in video showing New Hampshire cop’s traffic stop on commercial vehicle driver for speeding and cellphone use

Manchester New Hampshire Police shared tense video of a traffic stop on a commercial vehicle for speeding and cellphone use.

The video was shared by Manchester Police on April 21, 2026.

The video shows a traffic stop performed on a commercial vehicle after a Manchester police officer allegedly saw a commercial vehicle driver looking at a cellphone while traveling at speeds of 50 m.p.h. in a 30 m.p.h. zone. The traffic stop resulted in two citations of $310 for the cellphone use and $124 for speeding.

“This week on Tuesdays with Traffic 8, a stop for speeding and cellphone use takes a sharp turn. When Officer Dan Richmond returns to the car, the driver doesn’t take the news well—and the situation quickly escalates. Voices rise, and tempers flare. See how Ofc. Richmond holds the line and keeps control when things heat up,” police said.
