Texas DPS warns of police impersonator making traffic stops in multiple counties

Texas Department of Public Safety (TXDPS) issued an alert about a possible police impersonator making traffic stops in a black Jeep.

On July 13, TXDPS issued a call for information from victims after receiving multiple reports of a police impersonator.

Officials say that a suspect is making traffic stops while driving an unmarked black 2022 Jeep Gladiator on US-190 in Walker, San Jacinto, and Polk counties.

Anyone pulled over by an individual in civilian clothing driving a black 2022 Jeep Gladiator is asked to contact Conroe DPS Criminal Investigations Division at (346) 260-9824 or via email to Luke.Williams@dps.texas.gov.
