Texas police knock car hauler out-of-service after ‘partially losing its load’

Law enforcement agencies removed a truck hauling a load of automobiles from the roadway in Gunter, Texas, after determining that the vehicle was unsafe.

On June 23, 2026, officers with the Gunter Police Department (GPD) located a commercial vehicle “that had partially lost its load, creating a significant hazard and danger to the public.”

GPD called in the Collin County Sheriff’s Office Commercial Motor Vehicle Enforcement Unit to assist with inspecting the car hauler.

Following the inspection, the commercial vehicle was deemed unsafe and ordered out-of-service.

“Due to the severity of the violations and safety concerns, LW’s Towing was contacted to remove the vehicle from the roadway after the immediate hazard was addressed,” police said.
