Texas Highway Patrol troopers discovered hundreds of commercial vehicle violations during a recent three-day detail.
Troopers took part in a commercial vehicle inspection and enforcement “task force” operation in Bastrop County last week, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety (TXDPS) – Central Texas Region.

During the detail, troopers inspected 77 commercial vehicles.
A total of 413 violations were uncovered as a result of the inspections.
Troopers placed 34 commercial vehicles out-of-service for critical safety violations. These vehicles were either repaired at the scene or towed.
Additionally, 13 drivers were placed out-of-service for various compliance violations.

“Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Troopers work daily to keep Texas roadways safe by ensuring commercial vehicles are properly maintained, safely loaded, and operating in compliance with state and federal regulations. These inspections help reduce crashes, prevent mechanical failures, and protect everyone traveling on Texas roads,” said TXDPS.
