Thieves have less than two weeks to return a truck full of 50,000 cans of PBR with no questions asked, company says
A truck loaded with approximately 50,000 cans of Pabst Blue Ribbon beer has been stolen, and the beer company says it won’t ask questions if they return it within a specified time frame.
The truck was stolen out of Montclair, California about a week ago, and was loaded with 40,000 pounds of Pabst Blue Ribbon beer – around 50,000 cans. The company has made several Instagram posts about the theft, including one promising that the thieves won’t get in trouble if they just return the truck and beer.
“Pabst is officially starting the clock now – you have exactly 18 days and 44 minutes to return our truck, no questions asked. Leading up to that time, we will be offering a reward to anyone who can help us solve this mystery,” the company wrote on the initial post.
“P.s. this is real and we are deadly serious.”
Pabst is asking anyone with information on the theft to message them. And says they are “working with the local authorities to try and recover the stolen truck and are grateful for all their hard work,” according to ABC7.
“We hope that whoever managed to steal our truck also knows the importance of keeping beer cold.”
No further information on the theft has been released.
