Driver Appreciation Week campaign will recognize companies doing meaningful work for drivers and award one fleet a fully supplied care program.
CREEDMOOR, N.C. — August 25, 2026 — The Transportation Marketing & Sales Association (TMSA) and Road Dog Care Company are teaming up for Driver Appreciation Week to celebrate transportation companies that go the extra mile for the people behind the wheel.
Carriers are invited to share a specific example of how their company shows drivers they are valued. One winning fleet will receive a fully supplied Road Dog Care program for its terminal, including bathing wipes, deodorant cream and alertness spray for every driver, shipped free anywhere in the continental United States.
The goal is to make Driver Appreciation Week easier for the fleet and more useful for drivers, with Road Dog handling the products and shipping.
“Driver Appreciation Week should feel like more than checking a box,” said Bob Book, Road Dog VP of Marketing. “The fleets doing this well are paying attention to what their drivers actually need. We want to recognize those companies and give one of them an easy way to take care of their drivers in a tangible way.”
Submitted stories may also be highlighted by TMSA and Road Dog Care, showcasing how carriers across the industry are approaching driver appreciation.
The winning fleet will be asked to complete a brief follow-up evaluation, including feedback from the program administrator and a short driver survey. That feedback gives the company a clearer picture of what drivers responded to and gives Road Dog a chance to improve the products and programs it offers fleets in the future.
“We want companies to be able to try this without wondering where the catch is,” said Book. “The value for us is the feedback. The value for the fleet is getting something useful into drivers’ hands and seeing how they respond.”
“The campaign gives carriers a chance to share what’s working at their companies, learn from what others across the industry are doing, and recognize fleets that are putting real thought into the driver experience,” said Jennifer Karpus-Romain, Executive Director of TMSA. “Driver appreciation looks different from company to company, and we’re excited to offer a platform to share those ideas and celebrate the work being done for drivers.”
