Truck driver arrested at Florida ag inspection station after 671 pounds of cannabis found in load of oranges

Florida authorities say that a truck driver is facing felony charges after officers uncovered hundreds of pounds of cannabis within a shipment of oranges.

On February 16, 2026, officers at the Pensacola Agriculture Inspection Station conducted a regulatory inspection on a semi truck hauling oranges from Visalia, California, according to the Florida Office of Agricultural Law Enforcement (OALE).

During the inspection, officers conducting the inspection “smelled cannabis and found 17 duffle bags and 5 trash bags hidden among the pallets. Tests confirmed THC, totaling 671 pounds.”

Truck driver Roberto I. Feria was arrested on felony drug trafficking charges, OALE said.

The seized drugs were handed over to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
