Truck driver calls out Mississippi DOT for abysmal condition of I-55 during recent winter storm

A truck driver took to social media to call out Mississippi for the abysmal condition of Interstate 55 during the recent winter storm Fern. 

In the video, the driver is filming on Interstate 55 in Mississippi (not something we recommend) that he says is completely covered in ice. 

“This is on i-55 in Mississippi. I just wanted to say to Mississippi DOT, you guys are terrible. Absolutely terrible. You guys had enough prep time to get crews from other places or what have you to get these roads right,” he said, referring to the days before winter storm Fern when everyone began prepping for the freezing weather. 

“Not only have I not seen a single plow out here, it is not treated, no one is out here throwing salt, this is all ice. This is on a major interstate, not a single lane plowed,” he continued. 

“What a piece of sh*t. All other states had plows out, this is the only state that I haven’t seen a plow on social media, I haven’t seen a plow on the road, I haven’t seen any salt trucks out, I haven’t seen a d*mn thing from the state of Mississippi to help with travel on their roads.”

“You should be ashamed of yourself, Mississippi.”
