A truck driver has been found guilty of murder nearly 30 years after the body of a woman was found in Kansas City.
The murder occurred in November of 1996 in Kansas City, Kansas. Truck driver Gary Dion Davis was found guilty just this month, nearly 30 years after the crime.
According to KCTV5, the body of Pearl Davis, also known as Sameemah Mussawir, was discovered in a house on Lafayette Avenue. Her murder then went unsolved for nearly 30 years.
Gary Dion Davis lived in Kansas City but worked as an OTR truck driver. Investigators say it is possible he is responsible for other crimes throughout the country. Davis was also charged with the murder of Christina King in December of 1998, but the jury has since found him not guilty of that crime.
Davis is scheduled for a sentencing hearing at 9 a.m. on February 26th. He is facing a life sentence.
