This week, transportation and finance leaders from Indiana and Kentucky agreed on toll rates for a future bridge on I-69.
On March 3, 2026, the ORX Tolling Body announced initial toll rates for the I-69 Ohio River Crossing after construction on the project is complete and connecting the cities of Evansville, Indiana and Henderson, Kentucky.
The toll for 5-axle vehicles will range from $15.49 to $18,62, depending on whether the driver is using a pre-paid account and a transponder.

Additionally, unpaid toll bills will result in a collection fee of up to $30.
The bridge is scheduled to open to traffic in 2031, with tolling expected to start by January 1, 2032. Construction is expected to begin in spring 2027.
Officials say the I-69 ORX project will improve long-term cross-river mobility, reduce congestion and delay, and improve safety. It’s divided into three sections for project delivery.
“Drivers with prepaid accounts and transponders will pay the lowest toll rates and cross the tolled bridge in the most efficient manner,” said Amanda Spencer, assistant state highway engineer with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC). “Toll rates are higher without a transponder and account in good standing because of the increased administrative costs associated with reading license plates and researching vehicle owner information.”
