Truck, trailer, and driver out-of-service after Indiana trooper finds 26 violations during CMV inspection

An Indiana State Police (ISP) trooper sidelined a combination vehicle and driver after finding more than two dozen violations during a roadside inspection.

On July 22, 2026, ISP Trooper Angermeier conducted an inspection on a commercial vehicle on State Road 64 in Princeton.

According to ISP’s Evansville District, the inspection uncovered a total of 26 violations, nine of which were severe enough to be out-of-service violations.

“Although the company did not display a USDOT number, the operation remained subject to federal and state commercial motor vehicle regulations,” ISP said.

As a result of the violations, the truck, trailer, and driver were all placed out-of-service.

Additionally, “due to serious safety and registration violations, both the truck and trailer were towed from the scene.”

“The road is a little safer with this combination out of service,” troopers said.
