Two dead in crash off curved exit ramp into roadside rock wall

Two people are dead after a FedEx truck lost control on a curved exit ramp in Louisville on Thursday morning.

The accident happened just after 5 a.m. on Thursday, August 6th on the Interstate 65 southbound ramp onto Interstate 264 East in Louisville, Kentucky.

According to WAVE3, the FedEx semi truck was on the northbound exit ramp from I-65 south onto I-264 east when it failed to negotiate a curve. The rig then went off the left shoulder of the ramp and collided head-on with a large rock wall on the side of the road.

“We are deeply saddened by this tragic accident,” FedEx wrote in a statement.

“Our thoughts are with the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives, and we wish those who were injured a speedy recovery. We are cooperating with law enforcement in their investigation, and any additional questions should be directed to them.”
