USDOT boss says semi driver caught on video going wrong way on Missouri highway was placed out-of-service

U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said that Missouri law enforcement helped put the brakes on a semi truck driver caught on video traveling on the wrong way on a highway.

On February 25, Duffy took to social media to comment on a viral video depicting a semi truck traveling the wrong way on Highway 61 in Missouri.

“We have learned that a truck driver with a Minnesota CDL who couldn’t read basic road signs spent MILES driving the wrong way in an 80 TON truck [sic]!” Duffy wrote.

Duffy said that the truck driver was placed out-of-service by Missouri law enforcement officers.

Additionally, Duffy said that motor carrier Cargo Transportation LLC is under investigation by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).

“We will not stop until America’s roads are safe again for families,” Duffy said.
