VIDEO: Car driver desperate to make exit gets boomeranged back into dash cammer’s semi truck

An Illinois-based trucking company shared dash cam video of a wild crash that occurred when a motorist snuck in front of a semi truck to make their exit.

The dash cam clip was shared on January 6, 2026, by Rockford, Illinois-headquartered Meiborg Companies.

In the video, you can see a blue car passing the dash cammer and then veering in front to make the exit to the right. However, the motorist misjudged the exit and struck a metal barrier with such force that the car was launched backwards, striking the dash cammer and ripping off a large chunk from the hood of the semi.

“On a Monday morning when life throws a car at you! All drivers and passengers walked away!” Meiborg said.
