Washington troopers say ‘erratic’ semi truck driver had .221 BAC
The Washington State Patrol (WSP) discovered multiple alcohol violations during a traffic stop on a tractor trailer on a busy interstate.
WSP Trooper Reece Depew stopped a commercial truck along I-5 at mile marker 107 after a witness called in a report about “its erratic driving behaviors,” state police said in a February 4 social media post.
During the traffic stop, WSP said that the driver of the truck blew a .221 on a breath alcohol test.
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration disqualifies anyone from operating a commercial vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration over 0.04 percent.
Troopers said that the driver was also in possession of alcohol in the truck.
The traffic stop resulted in the driver’s arrest for DUI.
