Wyoming deputies arrest 10 for immigration violations during latest ‘Truck Around And Find Out’ operation

The Laramie County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) out of Wyoming shared results the latest “Truck Around And Find Out” (TAFO) detail targeting unqualified commercial vehicle drivers.

Sheriff Brian Kozak said that on July 28 and 29, four deputies carried out a TAFO operation throughout Laramie County, Wyoming.

Kozak said that 112 traffic stops were conducted, resulting in 40 citations and 10 arrests for immigration violations.

“As we know, this is a big problem our county. It’s a big safety risk on our highways and county roads, and so we’re taking action here in Laramie County,” said Kozak.

LCSO also reported one arrest for felony aggravated DUI for driving under the influence of marijuana. Deputies recovered marijuana and synthetic urine from the vehicle during the traffic stop, according to Kozak.

LCSO has held several TAFO details over the past several months in partnership with U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement (ICE). In October 2025, more than two dozen LCSO deputies were sworn in by ICE and authorized to enforce immigration law under Title 8, Section 287(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act.
