Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) say that a truck driver lost his life early Friday morning after his vehicle’s brakes malfunctioned in Somerset County.

The crash occurred around 1:35 a.m. on Friday, September 9, near Wellersburg, Pennsylvania.

PSP reported that Mississippi-based truck driver Alexander Johnson, 42, was driving on Route 160 near Palo Alto Road when his vehicle “experienced a mechanical failure with its braking system.”
