A car was crushed in Ohio on Tuesday afternoon after a semi truck struck a railroad overpass and dislodged its load.
The accident happened on November 15th at 3:26 p.m. in Butler County, Ohio.
According to Fox 19 News, a semi truck hauling a metal container was passing beneath a railroad overpass at Dixie Highway/Route 4 at St. Clair Avenue when it struck the overpass. The metal container was then knocked from the trailer and landed on a nearby Ford Fusion, crushing the car.
Two people inside of the car were transported to a nearby hospital with injuries described as “potentially serious.” The truck driver was not hurt in the incident.
Dixie Highway between Symmes Road and Corwin Avenue was closed until after 8:30 p.m. that evening. No further information has been released. It is unclear if any citations were issued in the accident.
