Truck driver arrested after pulling gun on co-driver during dispute at truck stop

A truck driver was arrested on Sunday night after pulling a gun on his co-driver during an argument. 

The incident occurred on January 1st at the Love’s Truck Stop in Sioux City, Iowa. 

According to KSCJ News, the two drivers were traveling along Interstate 29 when they began arguing in the cab of their shared truck. Just after 10:35 p.m. the two pulled into the Love’s Truck Stop, where the driver and owner of the rig told his co-driver to leave and threatened him with a gun. 

The co-driver got out of the truck and contacted police, who responded to the scene and took the other driver, Roderick Antoine Carter, into custody. Carter was found to have a previous felony conviction. 

Carter has since been charged with intimidation with a dangerous weapon and felon in possession of a firearm. He was booked into the Woodbury County Jail.
