Multiple cars squashed beneath mobile home in semi truck crash

Published:

Multiple cars were crushed beneath a mobile home that fell off of a trailer in North Carolina on Thursday morning.

The accident happened near Charlotte, North Carolina on May 25th at around 10:30 a.m.

According to WSOC TV News, the crash happened on the inner loop of I-485 just before Moores Chapel Road. It is unclear what caused the semi truck to crash, which dislodged the mobile home it was hauling. Several cars could be seen squashed beneath the loose mobile home, and one other semi truck appears to have run off of the road and onto the grassy shoulder.

Four people were reportedly injured, but those injuries were not considered serious. Those looking to travel through the area have been advised to expect major delays and avoid the area as crews work to investigate the incident and clear the wreckage.

Drivers are advised to take exit 10 to I-85 North for 5.5 miles to exit 34 then head north on NC-27 for 6 Miles to access I-485.
