A trucker and the first responders who rescued him sustained bee stings from out of control semi truck wreck in Death Valley over the weekend.
The accident happened on Sunday, November 5th at around 9:55 a.m. in Death Valley National Park near Las Vegas, Nevada.
According to ABC 8 News, the tractor trailer was traveling down a steep grade along CA 190 west of Towne Pass when the driver lost control. The truck then veered off of the roadway and overturned multiple times, scattering a load of bee hives.
A passerby stopped to help pull the truck driver out of the cab, and was stung by multiple bees in the process. Emergency personnel responded to the scene and were also stung by the bees.
The truck driver sustained “traumatic injuries” and bee stings in the wreck, and was airlifted to a hospital.
