Fired Florida trucker accused of stealing former company’s semi truck

A fired Florida trucker was arrested for allegedly stealing a truck from his former company, according to police.

William Victor Bowden, 42, was arrested on December 28 on grand theft and burglary charges, according to a report from Villages-News.

Authorities say that on December 19, Bowden stole a green 2016 Mack truck from Central Florida Transport LLC in Belleview, Florida.

The truck was found abandoned the same day with the battery missing.

The trucking company owner and police were able to use video footage to identify Bowden, who had been fired from the company five years before the incident.

Bowden was booked without bond into the Marion County Jail.
