UT football semi truck smashes into barrier wall

Published:

A semi truck hauling equipment for the University of Tennessee football team wrecked on its way home from a game early on Sunday morning.

The accident happened just after 6 a.m. on September 22nd at the I-30/I-40 interchange in Little Rock, Arkansas.

According to 10 News, the tractor trailer was hauling the equipment back to Tennessee after a game against the Oklahoma Sooners when it collided with another vehicle. The force of the impact sent the truck skidding into a concrete barrier wall.

No one was hurt in the accident, but the truck did have to be towed to another location so that the equipment could be loaded onto another trailer.

Both lanes of traffic were blocked off for several hours as crews worked to clear the wreckage. The exact reason for the wreck is not clear. No other information has been released.

A traffic cam video of the incident can be viewed, below. The other vehicle reportedly involved in the accident cannot be seen clearly in the footage.
