The Iowa State Patrol Commercial Motor Vehicle Unit (ISPCMVU) is reminding truckers to “use your mirrors” after a major load securement violation was discovered on Thursday morning.
On November 7, troopers took to social media with a message for the trucking community about load securement.
“Proper load securement is important. Thankfully, this truck was stopped this morning before it lost it’s cargo and caused a mess in the road. Furthermore, a little less thought about issue is that load shifts such as these also cause the vehicle to be over width. Use your mirrors and check your securement often!” ISPCMVU said.
